We have a fantastic opening for a Senior Design Engineer to join our growing company.
The successful candidate would be working alongside the Directors and the rest of the team assisting them on projects.
Role Overview
- Production of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health services designs
- Conducting hand and computer aided calculations to validate designs
- Producing detailed specifications, schedules and employers’ requirements
- Conduct site surveys and produce written reports
- Carry out interim inspections, reviewing on-site installations
- Project management
- Client liaison
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years working experience within the Building services Industry with a strong understanding of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, HVAC and Public Health Services design
- Degree qualification in Engineering, preferably in Building Services Engineering (BEng/BSc) (Ideal but not essential)
- Experience attending site meetings to review the Mechanical and Electrical services and undertake the design
- Production of surveys and reports using technical knowledge
- Experience of running projects independantly
- Strong understanding of British Standards & UK Building Regulations
- Experience using CAD/BIM platforms (AutoCAD / Revit) & Microsoft Office documents
- Working knowledge of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) platforms (Cymap/Hevacomp)
- The ability to work well in a team and independently
- Full Driving licence with use of own car (preferable as travel to site meetings will be required)
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
Commutable distance to Chesham, Buckinghamshire
